Hearsay Avoidance Objectives refer to the various purposes or exceptions that allow out-of-court statements to be admitted into evidence during a legal proceeding, thereby avoiding the exclusion of such statements under the hearsay rule. These objectives include direct testimony, present sense impression, excited utterance, and situations where the declarant is unavailable to testify in person.
