Non-Person Declarant
Definition
A Non-Person Declarant refers to a source of information or statement that is not a human being, such as a machine, device, animal, or inanimate object. The output or "statement" produced by a non-person declarant is not considered hearsay because the hearsay rule only applies to statements made by a person.
